The Axxon Model 42 product is a unique jumperless I/O card from the LEADER in SOFTWARE CONFIGURABLE products for the IBM PC. This 16 Bit ISA/EISA bus compatible plug-in card features QUAD HIGH SPEED 16550 serial ports and Dual Parallel ports which are completely software configurable. User friendly software configures the I/O addresses and interrupts (IRQs) for the six ports without the use of jumpers.

Soft I/O Model 42 is completely register level compatible with the industry recognized 16550 device. The dual parallel port offer bi-directional capability and may be configured to either LPT1, LPT2 or LPT3. Serial ports may be mapped to either 0x3F8, 0x2F8, 0x3E8 or 0x3A0. Hardware is compatible with VESA/PCI bus video cards occupying 8514/A I/O map of 0x2E0-0x2EF and permits up to 4 serial ports (COM1..COM4) conflict free of a video card.

The Model 42 I/O card is ideal for the faster data transfer required by high speed 9600+ baud external modems, pointing devices and system to system data exchange setups. Compatible with DOS, OS/2, Windows 3.X and Windows '95.
