The
Axxon SOFTPORT and SOFTPORT+ are remarkable new jumperless
I/O cards from the LEADER in JUMPERLESS technology.
These 8/16 Bit ISA plug-in cards each feature a SINGLE
HIGH SPEED serial port which is Plug & Play (PnP)
compatible. Both models offer JUMPERLESS configuration
for PnP and LEGACY (non PnP) environments.
The
SOFTPORT and SOFTPORT+ cards are completely software
configurable. Plug and Play environments automatically
configure the HIGH SPEED serial port to conflict free
I/O addresses and interrupts (IRQs). SOFTPORT and SOFTPORT+
are completely register level compatible with the 16550
(16 Byte Buffer) UART.
Both
I/O card models are ideal for the faster data transfer
required by high speed 9600+ baud external modems, pointing
devices and system to system data exchange setups. With
their built-in extended buffers, SOFTPORT and SOFTPORT+
products are ideal for reducing the work load on the
host system.
